Stenographic codes, anagrams, and grill ciphers are some of the methods the Zodiac Killer used to deliver messages. Chris Hopkins of the FBI indicated that the Zodiac encrypted messages of deeds to come. The FBI FOIA files indicate that they looked at different methods of encryption, so it is not too far fetched that other messages exist. I believed that the reason for writing the news syndicates have another purpose and the Zodiac killed to get those messages in the papers.
